The answer of course is that God has given all creatures instincts in order that they survive.
Sea turtles instinctively head for the sea when hatched,
Birds can find nesting grounds that their parents used even though they were never there and have no parents to guide them there.
Even Charles Darwin himself marveled at the nature of instincts.
